Hand Forged from 1075 high carbon steel, it has a 9 1/4” blade and its over all length is 14 1/2” with a stabilized black ash burl handle and brass pins. Features a flat/convex hybrid grind that I personally love for knives that will need to take some abuse while still maintaining good cutting and slicing.
When I was growing up me and one or two of my brothers would hike out into the woods, build shelters, start our own fire and maybe scrounge up something to eat, we would camp out there a day or two and see how well we could do for ourselves, we especially loved doing this in the cold winter months.
sometimes we would bring food, a sleeping bag and other commodities, other times we would bust bring the clothes on our back, a knife and a edged tool of some kind like an axe, machete or a large“survival” knife.
But this knife right here is the kind of knife that I would have loved to have out with me! It’s rugged and tough, large enough to hack and chop wood but small enough to offer a lot of versatility.
